Comrade Trinh Van Quyet is from Thanh Quang commune, Thanh Ha (Hai Duong), member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

President Vo Van Thuong presented the decision to promote to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General to comrade Trinh Van Quyet - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

On the morning of August 8, at the Presidential Palace, President Vo Van Thuong attended the ceremony to present the decision to promote the rank of Senior Lieutenant General to comrade Trinh Van Quyet - member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Also attending were Politburo members: Minister of National Defense, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, General Phan Van Giang; Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, General Luong Cuong.

Presenting the Decision to promote to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Vo Van Thuong stated that comrade Trinh Van Quyet is an excellent cadre of the Party, State and Army, who has received basic training, matured from the grassroots, been trained and tested through many leadership and command positions at all levels in the Army; has many outstanding achievements in building the Army and strengthening national defense.

Regardless of the conditions and circumstances, comrade Trinh Van Quyet is always steadfast and absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; firmly maintains the mettle and revolutionary ethics of a Party member, Army officer, "Uncle Ho's Soldier"; strives to excellently complete all assigned tasks, worthy of the trust of the Party, the State and the Army.

President Vo Van Thuong asked comrade Trinh Van Quyet to always maintain the qualities of a Party member and a general in the Army; to be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, the Army and the people; to imbue and perform well the duties and qualifications of a general according to Uncle Ho's teachings, which must be: "Wisdom - Courage - Humanity - Trustworthiness - Integrity - Loyalty" and "A humane general is a general who understands people, knows how to value people, knows how to use people and is loved by everyone. Only such generals can win every battle;" on that basis, to constantly strive, cultivate and practice revolutionary ethics; to be modest, simple, close to cadres, soldiers and the people; to regularly self-criticize and criticize; to resolutely fight against corruption and negativity; to be a shining example for cadres and soldiers of the entire army to follow.

The President emphasized that comrade Trinh Van Quyet needs to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and unity within the Central Military Commission and the General Department of Politics to lead and direct the effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on military and defense tasks, on Party work and political work in the Army, building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern People's Army; strong in politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres; enhancing the overall strength, combat readiness, and protecting the Fatherland early and from afar, avoiding being passive or surprised in any situation.

The President believes that with the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the support and assistance of ministries, branches, localities and people nationwide, and the trust and love of officers and soldiers of the entire army, with his personal qualities and abilities, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet will excellently fulfill the assigned tasks.

Speaking at the Decision Awarding Ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet affirmed that he thoroughly grasped the President's direction; was absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; actively studied and followed President Ho Chi Minh's teachings on the qualities of a general: "Wisdom-Courage-Humanity-Trustworthiness-Integrity-Loyalty"; continued to strive, practice, and preserve revolutionary ethics, ready to receive and complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State, Army and people.

Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet was born in 1966, from Thanh Quang commune (Thanh Ha). He is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee and Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army since April 2021.
