On the morning of January 15, at Chu Van An Primary School (Chi Linh), the Organizing Committee of the Hai Duong Province Youth and Children's Creativity Contest launched the 18th contest.
The contest is organized by the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, and the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union. Contestants are youth, teenagers, and children aged 6-18 who are living, working, and studying in the province. Contest solutions are in the following areas: learning tools; computer software; environmentally friendly products; household appliances and children's toys; environmental protection and economic development.
The prize structure includes: 1 first prize worth 10 million VND; 5 second prizes, worth 7 million VND/prize; 10 third prizes, worth 5 million VND/prize and 20 consolation prizes, worth 3 million VND/prize.
The competition will run from November 2023 to September 2024.
The contest aims to awaken the potential and promote the thinking and creativity of teenagers and children across the province, while helping them to improve their knowledge, practice their creative skills, and build their dreams of becoming inventors in the future. Through the contest, valuable models and products will be selected to participate in the National Youth and Children's Creativity Contest in 2024.
At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the contest awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the group of students Dang Hoang Long, Trinh Ngoc Han, Nguyen Trung Thanh Long, Nguyen Diem My, Nguyen Tra My from Chu Van An Primary School, Pha Lai and Cong Hoa Secondary School (Chi Linh) for winning the encouragement prize of the 19th National Youth and Children's Creativity Contest in 2023 with the model "New generation air-conditioned helmet". Ms. Hoang Thi Nhai, a teacher at Chu Van An Primary School, who guided the students, was also awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. On this occasion, Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union awarded the group of students for their outstanding achievements.
At the 17th Provincial Youth and Children's Creativity Contest, the whole province had 117 products participating. The Organizing Committee awarded 5 second prizes, 10 third prizes and 20 consolation prizes; there was no model winning first prize.
