The 2024 Paris Paralympics will take place from August 28 to September 28, 2024, but tickets to the event will go on sale next October.

Speaking to the press with just one year to go before the Games, Mr. Parsons emphasized: “Our ambition is to sell all 2.8 million tickets, thereby making the Paris Paralympics the number 1 Paralympic Games in terms of ticket sales. Previously, the London 2012 Paralympics set a record with 2.7 million tickets sold. At these Games, we want to sell out before the opening ceremony.”

The strategy for next year's Paralympic Games is to set affordable ticket prices, starting at 15 euros ($16.20), while also building spectacular views at iconic venues for the competitions, such as Roland Garros for wheelchair tennis or the Eiffel Tower for five-a-side football.

The Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics will be the first games to be attended by spectators since the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, which were significantly scaled back and held without spectators due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“After two Olympics, the spectators are back… with stunning venues in the heart of the city,” Mr Parsons said. “We will have a mix of tourists who are in Paris, as well as those who are here for the Olympics, and it will all come together to create a fantastic atmosphere. The athletes will also be of a higher quality. If you compare the quality of the athletes and the overall performance across the 22 sports to the last time we had spectators, which was Rio 2016, it will be even better.”
