With nearly 16 years of teaching experience, Ms. Mac Thi Trang (39 years old), a teacher at Pham Su Manh Secondary School (Kinh Mon town), has always innovated teaching methods, spreading her love of physics to many generations of students.

In the past 4 years, the achievements of the physics team of excellent students trained by Ms. Mac Thi Trang, a teacher at Pham Su Manh Secondary School, have always been among the top in the province.

Teacher Vu Viet Ha, Principal of Pham Su Manh Secondary School, said that on November 20, Ms. Trang was honored as one of the 200 outstanding teachers nationwide in 2023. This is an honor and pride not only for Ms. Trang but also for the entire staff, teachers and students of the school. "Ms. Trang is a teacher who loves her job, is dedicated to every lesson, exam, and student. Colleagues, parents and generations of students all love and trust her because of her expertise, simplicity and friendliness," said Ms. Ha.

Physics is considered a dry subject, but Ms. Trang's gentle teaching style and method have spread the love of this subject to many students. Pham Nguyen Tuan Hung, a member of the 9th grade excellent student team at Pham Su Manh Secondary School, said that many students are afraid of physics, but Ms. Trang has helped all difficult problems become easier to solve and all exercises become more interesting. She often lets students learn by drawing mind maps, relating lessons to reality, helping them understand the lessons more easily and deepen their knowledge.

After graduating from university in 2007, Ms. Trang began her journey as a “ferryman” at Hien Thanh Secondary School. In 2017, Ms. Trang transferred to teach at Pham Su Manh Secondary School. Having loved physics and dreamed of becoming a teacher since she was a secondary school student, during her 16 years of teaching, she has constantly researched and studied to find the most effective teaching methods.

Ms. Trang said that the most effective method is to regularly combine theory with practice, relate lessons to real life and some other subjects. At the same time, actively apply information technology; apply modern teaching methods and techniques, innovate student assessment. "Regarding knowledge of movement, I relate to the impact of speed when participating in traffic, through this I also propagate traffic safety knowledge to students," Ms. Trang shared.

Assigned to train a team of excellent physics students in grade 9 at the town and provincial levels, she always identifies this as a key task to quickly investigate the learning level and develop detailed plans and teaching methods. "During the training process, I regularly test, grade, and correct detailed assignments to help students overcome limitations in presentation. I always seek knowledge from books, magazines, and the internet to make my lectures more effective," said Ms. Trang.

With her enthusiasm and dedication, about 97% of the students she directly teaches have good and excellent academic performance. In the past 4 years, the physics team's ranking has remained at the top of the province. In the 2022-2023 school year, the physics team won 9 provincial prizes, including 1 first prize with a perfect score of 10. Thereby, the ranking of excellent students of Kinh Mon town ranked 6th in the province, up 5 places compared to the previous school year.

To improve her qualifications, capacity and experience, Ms. Trang also actively researched and invested a lot of time and effort to write innovative experiences. Many initiatives have been effectively applied and recognized and highly appreciated by the School's Scientific Council and the Department of Education and Training of Kinh Mon town.

With her dedication, enthusiasm, innovation, creativity in the profession and the care and support of her colleagues, Ms. Trang has achieved many achievements. Continuously from the 2021-2022 to 2022-2023 school year, Ms. Trang achieved the title of emulation fighter at the grassroots and provincial levels; in the 2022-2023 school year, she achieved the title of excellent teacher at the provincial level. For many consecutive years, Ms. Trang has been awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Education and Training, and the People's Committee of Kinh Mon town. In 2023, Ms. Trang was honored as a national outstanding teacher and received a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training.
