Ms. Ngo Thi Luong, Head of the Professional Department, said that for many years, the department has focused on serving the construction of dossiers such as following expert groups to conduct field surveys, preparing documents, editing dossiers... "In particular, 2023 is an urgent time to complete the dossier. The workload is large because the complex includes 20 component relics, and the implementation work requires coordination between 3 provinces. In addition to focusing on contributing to the construction of the dossier, we still have to ensure many other tasks of the agency such as organizing ceremonies during 2 festival seasons, promoting propaganda at the relics... At that time, the department had 4 members, all of whom were women, but they did not mind the hardship to complete the work," Ms. Luong said. Not to mention that during natural disasters and epidemics such as the recent storm No. 3, the workload increased many times over.

The Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic Management Board has 96 staff members, including 26 women. In addition to tour guides and scientific researchers, they also work in many other departments such as reception, ticket sales, etc. In addition to their professional duties, female staff members also perform many other tasks. At the Con Son vegetarian culinary experience on April 30 - May 1, 2023, visitors were delighted to enjoy more than 40 beautiful and attractive dishes with a variety of appetizers, main dishes and desserts. The menu planning, purchasing ingredients and cooking over 500 vegetarian meals every day were all done by Ms. Bui Thi Cam Van (currently an employee of the Tourism Service Department). Cooking is not simple, it requires sophistication and the cook must be always on his toes, but that does not make it difficult for her. "I am absorbed in the work because this is what I love. Making delicious dishes and receiving compliments from diners is the joy of the chef," said Ms. Van.

Ms. Van is also the author of the creative idea for the "country market" project, gift sets bearing the symbol of the relic, lotus wine, sim wine, Duoc Son wine products...

At the Con Son and Kiep Bac relics, the female staff are all talented, arranging luxurious and beautiful trays of offerings to offer to Buddha and saints. Most of the female staff have a firm grasp of the process and skillfully perform the steps of making lotus tea, chrysanthemum tea, and making tea for events. “If you make it from tap water, the teapot will be ruined. At the relics, we often use water from the Dragon Eye well to make the tea fragrant and pure. When pouring water into the teapot, you must pour it clockwise or pour it high so that the water is strong enough to make the tea leaves bloom and spread the fragrance...”, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Dung, a tour guide at the relics, revealed one of the many secrets to making delicious Kiep Bac lotus tea.

During the field trip to assess the nomination dossier for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and scenic complex, Mr. Ratish Nanda, an ICOMOS expert, had the opportunity to enjoy lotus tea at Kiep Bac temple. Taking a sip of tea and enjoying it, he used the word "wonderful" to express his feelings.
