According to a survey by reporters, since the beginning of May, the demand for recruiting service staff for shops and restaurants in Hai Duong City has increased by 10-20%, especially the demand for recruiting beverage bartenders has doubled compared to the previous month. The reason is that due to the hot weather, the number of people going to coffee shops and beverage shops has increased, so the shops need to recruit more. In some rural areas, coffee shops, milk tea shops, and lemon tea shops have also appeared more and more, so the demand for recruiting bartenders and sales staff is quite high. The income of a bartender is from 7-10 million VND/month, some places pay employees by the hour, about 30,000-40,000 VND/hour.
According to a representative of Hai Duong College of Tourism and Industry, all students of the Culinary Arts Department have jobs right after graduation. Since the end of April, many units, restaurants, and hotels have come to the school to recruit cooks and bartenders with attractive salaries.
