Demand for vegetarian food and fruit increases sharply during Qingming Festival

Many types of fruit increase in price during Qingming festival

On the morning of April 2, a representative of Thien Truc vegetarian restaurant said that for the past 2-3 days, the restaurant has cooked 40-50 vegetarian trays every day, 3-4 times more than usual. The restaurant cooks the dishes according to customers' needs, a basic 7-dish tray costs 400,000 VND, a 13-dish tray costs 900,000 VND. In addition to selling by tray, the restaurant also sells individual dishes. Dishes that are ordered a lot such as chicken, spring rolls, ham... have the same price as usual.

Taking advantage of Sunday, many families go to visit graves.

At Dong Ngo Quyen, Thanh Binh (Hai Duong City), Yen (Tu Ky) markets and some fruit shops... the demand for fruit consumption has also increased sharply, prices have also increased. Specifically, Thai longan is 60,000 VND/kg, Cat Chu mango is 60,000-65,000 VND/kg, pomelo is 60,000 VND/kg... all increased by 3,000-5,000 VND/kg compared to normal days, consumption increased by 20-30%.

According to a survey by Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, this year the demand for burning votive paper has decreased, many families only burn incense instead of burning votive paper and clothes like a few years ago.
