On the morning of February 1, according to a survey by reporters, many primary, secondary and high schools in Hai Duong will not assign Tet homework to students in order to create conditions for them to have a meaningful 2024 Lunar New Year holiday.

Tan Binh Primary School (Hai Duong City), Tuan Viet (Kim Thanh), Thanh Mien Town; Minh Hoa Secondary School (Kinh Mon), Thong Nhat (Gia Loc), Nam Sach II High School... said they will not assign homework to students during the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday.
All schools have thoroughly instructed teachers to guide, remind and send messages to students: "Wishing you a comfortable, peaceful, warm and safe Lunar New Year holiday with your family. Instead of watching phones and TV, you can help your parents and grandparents with housework; comfortably go home to visit family and relatives, experience Tet activities, read your favorite books and stories...".
If so, teachers only assign tasks related to daily activities such as recording in writing, taking photos, and filming videos the memories and things students did during Tet holiday to share with teachers and friends after the holiday.
Principals of the above schools hope that this is a time for students to learn and experience real life, gain more life skills...
Regarding this, the Department of Education and Training gives the initiative to schools. The representative of the Department of Education and Training also stated that during the Tet holidays, homework should not be assigned to students, so that they can have a complete and meaningful Tet holiday.
Preschool children, students, and trainees of educational institutions in Hai Duong province will have 12 days off for the 2024 Lunar New Year. The break will be from Wednesday, February 7 (December 28, Quy Mao year) to Sunday, February 18 (January 9, Quy Mao year).
