Tet in school in Hai Duong

The most impressive is the dominant red color, the typical color of Tet, used by schools in most areas and miniatures, from the school gate to the classroom, helping students to immerse themselves in the spring atmosphere.

At Viet Hoa Kindergarten (Hai Duong City), from the beginning of January 2024, the school has been brightly decorated with lanterns, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, red parallel sentences, a rural market experience area, calligraphy, clay figurine making, spring flower garden, folk game area... The program "Children with the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin" was organized by the school from January 18 to February 2, 2024 with many attractive activities such as: experiencing folk games, decorating and displaying booths, performing the whole school in combination with spring songs, organizing parties for children with traditional dishes on Tet holiday...

Ms. Doan Thi Bich Thuy, Principal of Viet Hoa Kindergarten, said that decorating for Tet at kindergartens not only creates a joyful atmosphere but also provides a space for children to play, learn, and understand more about the traditional Tet holiday. Children can participate in spring activities to help them explore Tet culture in different regions, thereby learning many new and interesting things.

“Preschoolers are at an age where learning is mainly through watching and playing, so decorating and organizing Tet experience activities will create an environment for children to be exposed to the traditional beauty of the nation, helping them enjoy going to school more. At the same time, it will help the school space become more joyful and brighter to welcome the new year with good luck,” said Ms. Thuy.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa in Viet Hoa ward said: “I took a day off to experience with my children at school. I was very excited to join my children in wrapping Chung cakes, selling Tet goods, decorating Tet spaces… This is an unforgettable memory for both mother and child during this Tet holiday. The children have become bolder, more confident and more knowledgeable.”

At Thanh Mien Town Primary School, on January 18, representatives of leaders and teachers from primary schools in the district, along with more than 1,200 primary school students, were immersed in the atmosphere of Tet and traditional folk festivals. This event was carefully prepared and grandly organized by the school, creating a good impression on teachers, students and parents.

Students can immerse themselves in artistic performances, drum performances, and unique martial arts performances... At the Northern Tet experience area, they learn about the cultural beauty and characteristics of scenic spots, Northern architecture, customs, cuisine, and products of some localities, and traditional craft village products. At the Central Tet experience area, they learn more about famous people, costumes, festivals, people, cuisine, and prominent professions. At the Southern experience area, they can admire the floating market model, Saigon townhouses, Nguyen Hue flower street, etc.

More interestingly, the children got to experience writing and asking for calligraphy, and participate in folk games such as: sack jumping, bridge crossing, blindfolded pot smashing, blindfolded duck catching, playing hopscotch...

Through the experiential activities, I learned more about the cultural beauty of Tet and realized that I have the responsibility to preserve and promote those good values.”

Many schools in the province have been organizing programs to experience the traditional Tet holiday in many different forms and names such as "Spring of Connection - Tet of Love", "Folk Tet", "Spring of Reunion - Tet of Sharing"... At these events, schools also mobilize resources, socialize, organize donations, sell goods to raise funds and give Tet gifts to disadvantaged students.
