According to initial information, at around 8:30 p.m. on December 12, people discovered a fire at a wood workshop in Ban Giua village (Huu Bang commune, Thach That district, Hanoi). In just a few minutes, the fire and smoke billowed up, quickly spreading to the adjacent shops and wood workshops.
As soon as the incident happened, people shouted and used on-site equipment such as water pumps and portable fire extinguishers to control the fire... but were unsuccessful.
Upon receiving the news, Huu Bang Commune Police mobilized forces and vehicles to urgently approach, initially extinguish the fire and coordinate with the fire prevention, firefighting and professional rescue police force to put out the fire.
Thach That District Police mobilized many vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene, trying to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring shops and wood workshops.
By around 10 p.m., the fire was basically under control. There were no casualties. Property damage is being assessed.
Thach That district police are investigating the cause of the fire.
