The fire at a children's toy warehouse in lane 115 Dinh Cong, Thinh Liet ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi occurred last night, causing damage of more than 5.5 billion VND, fortunately there were no casualties.
At around 10:00 p.m. on November 18, black smoke and flames rose from a warehouse located at the end of lane 115, Dinh Cong street, Thinh Liet ward, Hoang Mai district (Hanoi).
At that time, people in the area of alley 362/2 Giai Phong street, near alley 115 Dinh Cong, were shocked to see the fire rising up, glowing red, accompanied by black smoke covering a large area.
When discovering the fire, people nearby called the fire alarm and used fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.
About 6 minutes after receiving the fire alarm, Hoang Mai District Police quickly deployed forces and vehicles to the scene.
Initial information said that the fire broke out in a warehouse with an area of about 250 square meters. Because there were many plastic items and toys inside such as ball houses, plastic balls, etc., the fire flared up fiercely and spread quickly, making firefighting difficult.
By 11:30 p.m., the fire was completely controlled and by 1 a.m. on November 19, the fire was basically extinguished.
After that, the fire police force continued to spray water to cool down and stand by to prevent the fire from re-igniting. At around 5:00 a.m. on November 19, the functional force left the scene.
However, residents in lane 263/2 Giai Phong street, which is adjacent to the fire and was severely affected by the fire, said that at around 6am this morning, small flames and smoke reappeared in the ashes. Residents here quickly informed the authorities to promptly prevent the fire from breaking out again.
Estimated fire range is about 250/5,000 m2The warehouse of Hung Nam Cuong Furniture Investment and Development Joint Stock Company rented the premises from Railway Transport Service Joint Stock Company; damage to toys for kindergartens was about 1 billion VND; damage to machinery, aluminum and glass was about over 100 million VND; damage to all goods of the air compressor repair warehouse was about 4.5 billion VND.
The fire caused some adjacent warehouses to be scorched, affected by heat and smoke, and adjacent houses to be affected by heat and smoke on the walls.
Initial information, the fire did not cause any human damage, many assets from surrounding warehouses were promptly moved out.
