International travel magazine Travel + Leisure has just voted Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province of Vietnam) into the top 8 most wonderful beaches in the world for retirees.

According to Travel+Leisure, the beautiful scenery, the fresh air, and the childlike joy of splashing in cool water are all attractions to being near the ocean. We often choose lakes and oceans for our vacations, and scientists believe that being near water has real benefits. It's no wonder so many people want to spend their retirement years by the sea.

Ranked 8th in the list of the top 8 best beaches in the world for retirees, Nha Trang is introduced by Travel+Leisure: "Located about 250 miles northeast of Ho Chi Minh City and nearly 800 miles south of Hanoi, Nha Trang is a coastal city with beautiful beaches and an expat community of about 4,000 people. The average year-round temperature is about 81 degrees Fahrenheit, with a rainy and dry season."

Nha Trang also has high-quality health care, notably the Vinmec Nha Trang International Hospital, which has modern facilities and English-speaking staff. Many retirees choose to take out private health insurance.
