The above content was mentioned by Party Central Committee member and Head of the People's Aspirations Committee Duong Thanh Binh when presenting a report on the National Assembly's people's aspiration work at the 38th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the afternoon of October 7.

According to the Petition Committee, voters and people are worried about extreme weather, natural disasters, unusual storms, leading to flash floods and landslides causing great damage to people and property, greatly affecting production, business activities and people's lives that cannot be resolved immediately.

Voters and people are also worried about the unstable prices of essential goods for production and life, which have affected the lives, especially of farmers and low-income people; the unusual fluctuations in the gold market have affected people's psychology.

"Social housing is sold at very high prices, making it difficult for low-income people to access it. Some infectious diseases such as dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, and measles tend to increase in some localities, increasing the risk of outbreaks and spreading in the community. Shortages of drugs, vaccines, and medical supplies still occur in some public health facilities due to problems with procurement bidding," said Mr. Duong Thanh Binh.

In addition, the campaign to purchase equipment and teaching aids for schools and classrooms, without the consent of parents, caused public outrage, and the university admission plan also caused concern for parents and students.

In addition to some contents reflected by voters, the Government and the Prime Minister have issued documents directing and operating in the past time. The People's Petition Committee recommends that the National Assembly Standing Committee request the Government and the Prime Minister to pay attention to directing some contents of current interest to voters.

"Including proactive solutions to respond to natural disasters, epidemics, and climate change. Pay attention to adjusting social housing prices or having support packages to buy social housing for low-income people, and have policies to encourage the implementation of social housing projects for low-income people," said Head of the People's Petition Committee Duong Thanh Binh.

According to the Petition Committee, the Ministry of Health needs to have solutions to inspect and supervise food safety and hygiene more closely; research and have regulations to increase penalties for violations of food safety and hygiene regulations; inspect and resolve difficulties related to lack of drugs, vaccines, and medical supplies at some public health facilities.

The Petition Committee also recommended that the National Assembly Standing Committee request the Government and the Prime Minister to direct the Ministry of Education and Training to strictly direct the mobilization, reception, management and use of funding in schools.
