Hai Duong Cheo Theater will stage the Cheo play "Bright virtue clears injustice"

The play was developed by author Tran Dinh Ngon based on the plot of an ancient play called Ton Trong, Ton Manh (also known as Trinh Nguyen) with more dramatic developments, attracting contemporary audiences.

The content of the play has profound humanistic meaning, praising the kindness of the stepmother Trinh Nguyen towards her stepchildren; the sacrifice and filial piety of the two brothers Ton Trong and Ton Manh. The teacher of the two brothers Ton Trong and Ton Manh was falsely accused of murder. Because of their filial piety, the two brothers competed to take the blame for their teacher. When the mandarin asked Trinh Nguyen's mother about sentencing one of her two children to death, the mother volunteered to sacrifice her own child to save the life of her stepchild. Moved by their kindness and goodness, the mandarin ordered a reinvestigation and found the culprit.

The new feature of the play is praising the good feelings between a stepmother and her stepchild, which people still consider "a rice cake with bones", between half-brothers Ton Trong and Ton Manh, affirming that goodness reigns and triumphs over evil.
