The play praises the love story of Truc and Mai. Their love story goes through many ups and downs, the most difficult being the obstruction of Mr. Phu Ho (Mai's father). But in the end, with true love, they came together and had a happy ending.

Although it has many folk themes and materials, the Cheo play carries a message full of the breath of the times. Author Tran Dinh Ngon said that through the detail of the fairies being moved by the love story of Truc and Mai, they decided to do a good deed, which was to fill the river and create a path to pick up the bride as requested by Mr. Phu Ho. When they reached the top of the mountain, they saw the beautiful landscape and were so busy playing that they forgot what they were doing... The author wanted to send a message that people holding positions in today's society are like fairies. Sometimes they have to forget the small joys, even sacrifice their own interests to be able to do good deeds for the community and society. This is also the new feature of the Cheo play.

With a team of highly qualified actors and orchestra from Hai Duong Cheo Theater, the play is expected to bring emotional moments to the audience.

After staging and rehearsal, the play will be performed to serve the people of the province.
