Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB) has just officially announced information about new personnel in the Board of Directors (BOD).
New Chairman of SCB Board of Directors Vu Anh Duc
Specifically, Mr. Bui Anh Dung is no longer the legal representative of SCB since October 14. Instead, Mr. Vu Anh Duc officially becomes Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCB and the legal representative of SCB. In addition, the Board of Directors of SCB also has 4 new members including Mr. Pham Quang Tien, Mr. Vo Van Buu, Mr. Trang Nhan Hau and Mr. Ly Thanh Phuong.
SCB's Board of Directors changed immediately after SCB was placed under special control. The State Bank selected and appointed experienced, capable, and professionally qualified officials from state-owned commercial banks (Vietcombank, BIDV, Vietinbank, Agribank) to participate in the management and operation of SCB.
Immediately after taking office, the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCB also sent a letter to SCB officers and employees.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 15, the State Bank announced that in order to stabilize SCB's operations, the State Bank decided to put this bank under special control.
The State Bank's special control of a credit institution is a professional measure prescribed by law to strictly control and limit negative impacts on that credit institution and the system of credit institutions.
Accordingly, SCB's operations are carried out under the control of the State Bank. The State Bank selects and appoints experienced, competent, and professionally qualified officers from state-owned commercial banks (Vietcombank, BIDV, Vietinbank, Agribank) to participate in the management and operation of SCB.
At the same time, the State Bank will coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to synchronously implement necessary solutions for banks to operate safely and healthily.
Regarding the recent withdrawal of money from SCB by people due to some false rumors, the head of the State Bank also sent a message to the people, affirming that all people's deposits at the bank are guaranteed by the state.
