The State Bank announced the direct selling price of gold bars is 78.98 million VND/tael.

On the morning of June 3, the State Bank of Vietnam officially announced that, based on the plan to sell SJC gold bars directly to 4 State-owned commercial banks and Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) approved by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, the direct selling price of SJC gold bars on June 3, 2024 by the State Bank is VND 78,980,000/tael (seventy-eight million nine hundred and eighty thousand VND/tael).

The State Bank will continue to implement the roadmap to narrow the gap between domestic SJC gold bar selling price and world price.

Previously, the State Bank said that, together with 4 commercial banks (Agribank, BIDV, Vietcombank and Vietinbank), Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC will participate in buying gold from the State Bank of Vietnam to sell directly to people.

This is the 5th unit participating in gold trading under this plan of the State Bank, contributing to the determination to implement the Government's direction on bringing domestic gold prices closer to world gold prices.

On June 2, the websites of State-owned Commercial Banks (Vietcombank, Viettinbank, BIDV, Agribank) and SJC Company also officially announced the location and time of selling gold bars to individual customers.

It is expected that from 2:30 p.m. on June 3, state-owned commercial banks will start selling SJC gold bars to individual customers. From June 4, state-owned commercial banks will start selling gold from 9 a.m. SJC Company will conduct gold trading activities at locations within the network according to specific times at each branch.
