Bo My Cave, also known as Dam Xanh Cave (the name of a fish species that lives in the cave), is a new tourist attraction in Ha Giang.
Khun village cultural village in Bang Lang commune, Quang Binh district is a new destination in the low mountainous area of Ha Giang province. This place not only attracts tourists by the unique cultural features of ethnic groups but also by the natural gift of Bo My cave.
Bo My Cave consists of two systems: a water cave and a dry cave. In the water cave, there is a species of Blue Dam fish living, but you have to be very lucky to see it.
Bo My Cave has been preserved by the people through each generation for its landscape and natural values. Up to now, this destination still retains its pristine beauty with a system of beautiful stalactites and strange shapes.
In particular, this is also the habitat of the blue dam fish, a rare fish with a thick mouth and iridescent blue scales. The blue dam fish is a precious fish with firm, delicious meat. In the past, it was one of the products hunted to pay tribute to the king. In the Tay language, Bo My cave means a cave with many blue dam fish.
Bo My Cave is a new place to explore nature in Quang Binh district, Ha Giang.
Bo My Cave is nearly 2km deep, about 20m wide at its widest point, and about 50m high at its highest point, and can accommodate hundreds of people. The cave is divided into two parts, a dry cave and a water cave.
Most of the space in the cave is spacious with sparkling stalactites, creating many interesting shapes under the light of the spotlights.
Along with the creation of nature, stalactites and stalagmites in Bo My cave have many shapes that we have never seen before in the first caves such as Lung Khuy or Kho My (in Quan Ba district).
The narrow path is a place for tourists to check-in, clearly showing the creation of nature.
The deeper you go, the more strangely shaped rocks and stalactites appear, sometimes like bridges, sometimes like the curtains of a castle's bedroom, sometimes like a silk strip lying carelessly on the cliff. There are also rocks shaped like Buddhas, reclining chairs, with winding stone veins like terraced fields.
The stalactites are preserved by time and form eye-catching shapes.
Currently, tourist groups have only explored part of the cave, the rest of the cave is still a mystery so more equipment and more time are needed to explore and exploit.
Bo My Cave is nearly 2km long, the highest point is nearly 50m and can accommodate hundreds of people at the same time.
Currently, Bo My Cave has only been partially explored. Visitors must always follow the detailed instructions of the tour guide so as not to affect the landscape in the cave.
To reach Bo My cave, visitors must cross nearly 3km of forest road with many sections having cool streams of water.
Ban Khun is the gateway to Bo My cave, located in a valley with cool weather and friendly people.
