Netflix service is an activity of popularizing movies on the network environment, regulated by the provisions of the law on cinema. On Netflix service, only movies that have been classified and notified to the state management agency on cinema are provided.
To strictly implement the provisions of law on management, provision and use of radio and television services, on December 12, 2024, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information issued a document requesting Netflix Company to remove programs classified as television programs on the Netflix service.
Following that, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information held a meeting to disseminate laws on radio and television services and clarify issues of concern to Netflix Company related to current regulations in the field of radio and television services.
To date, Netflix has complied with regulatory requests to adjust service content and remove television programs.
Specifically, from December 23, 2024, Netflix Company commits to only distribute movies on Netflix service in accordance with the provisions of the law on cinema.
