The four sanctioned vessels are linked to the fleet of Syrian shipping tycoon Abdul Jalil Mallah and his brother Luay al-Mallah.
On September 25, the US Treasury Department issued sanctions on more than 10 entities and vessels that the US said were involved in transporting Iranian crude oil and liquefied natural gas to Syria and East Asia.
In a statement, the US Treasury Department said the four vessels were linked to the fleet of Syrian shipping tycoon Abdul Jalil Mallah - who was sanctioned by Washington in 2021 - and Abdul's brother Luay al-Mallah.
Mr. Luay al-Mallah was also put on the "blacklist" this time.
The US Treasury Department accused the Mallah brothers of "continuing to use their shipping empire to support Iran".
