A group of workers were resting while building a tent at the foot of a mountain in Ky Anh town when a landslide suddenly occurred, killing three people and injuring four others on the afternoon of May 6.
At around 2 p.m., 18 workers constructing a power line in Ky Lien Ward, Ky Anh Town, were resting in their huts when they heard a "rumbling" sound coming from the top of the mountain. 11 people escaped, while 8 people were buried in the falling rocks and soil, burying both their huts and themselves.
As a result, 3 workers died and 4 others were injured and are being treated at the hospital.
According to Ha Tinh provincial leaders, the incident was caused by a landslide, not a work accident. The scene is about 15 km from the center of Ky Anh town, the road is difficult to travel.
