A school in Gaza was hit by an airstrike, killing many women and children

At least 28 people, including women and children, were killed and 54 injured in an Israeli airstrike on Rafida school in Gaza on October 10, the Palestinian Red Cross said.

Medical sources said the incident occurred in the city of Deir el-Balah, where 1 million people have taken refuge due to the conflict that has lasted for more than a year.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it had struck a command center of the Hamas movement.

On the same day, health authorities in Gaza said the conflict between Israel and Hamas since October 2023 has claimed the lives of at least 42,065 people and injured 97,886.

Of these, 55 people died in the past 24 hours.
