The North is about to welcome cold air, locally heavy to very heavy rain

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that currently, a weak cold air mass is moving south from the north.

The influence of cold air strengthening the low pressure trough, combined with high-altitude wind convergence from 1,500-5,000m, from the evening and night of March 28 to March 29, the North will have rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, some places over 70mm.

In the late afternoon and evening of March 28-29, the North and Central Central regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, in some places over 50mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

Also according to the meteorological agency, on March 28, the South will be hot, with some places experiencing severe heat with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, and some places above 37 degrees Celsius.

On March 29, the Southeast region will be hot, with some places experiencing severe heat with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, with some places above 37 degrees Celsius. The Southwest region will experience localized heat.

From March 30, heat wave is likely to expand to the Southwest.
