Cold air will flow in from tomorrow (April 15), causing drizzle, fog and humidity in the North to end. Heat waves may appear in the middle of next week.
Over the past four days, due to the strong southeast monsoon, the North has maintained humidity above 80%, with drizzle and dense fog all day. Water vapor clings to walls and floors, causing inconvenience to people's daily activities.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from tomorrow afternoon (April 15), the humid weather will end due to the cold air flowing in combined with wind convergence above 1,500 m. The North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue will have showers and thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow.
From April 16 onwards, the weather in the North and Central regions will be sunny. From April 17 to 19, there is a possibility of hot weather, with the highest temperature of 35 degrees Celsius or higher.

Mr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that since the Lunar New Year, the North has experienced three wet spells, one lasting two weeks. This is typical spring weather in the North, so it is not unusual.
There are two reasons for the prolonged dampness. Firstly, this year has two leap months in the second lunar month, so the spring weather will last longer. Secondly, weak cold air masses continuously strengthen and then shift east, bringing moisture from the sea to the mainland.
The meteorological agency predicts that after this wet spell, there will be another spell at the end of April. By May, this phenomenon will decrease significantly.
