Kylian Mbappe will become a free agent next summer, after deciding to say goodbye to Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe will officially leave PSG in the summer of 2024

The French striker has been with PSG since 2017. Two years ago, he almost left the Parc des Princes to join Real Madrid, but then suddenly changed his mind.

Mbappe's contract with the Paris capital team will expire in June 2024. He confirmed that he will not renew with the rich French team.

That means Kylian Mbappe became a free agent in July, and was sought after by many big clubs across Europe, most notably Real Madrid.

Liverpool, Man City, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and MU have also contacted the 25-year-old star - who has scored 240 goals in 293 appearances.

However, the salary and signing bonus are the key factors in deciding the next destination in Kylian Mbappe's career.

Real Madrid are ready to scrap their wage structure to match the £21.4m after tax salary Mbappe is earning at PSG.

Real will make the Frenchman their highest-earning player, surpassing the £10.3m-a-season they are paying Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior.

Los Blancos are also set to pay Mbappe an £85.5m signing-on fee and are keen for the striker to retain a high percentage of his image rights.

Mbappe's mother, Fayza Lamari, has asked Real Madrid to abandon the usual 50-50 split between Real Madrid and the player. It seems that president Florentino Perez will give in.

Kylian Mbappe was also given the prestigious number 10 shirt, when Luka Modric said goodbye to the Bernabeu this summer.
