A Boeing 737 carrying 173 passengers made an emergency landing in Moscow (Russia) due to a malfunction in the stabilizer. All passengers and crew were uninjured.
According to Reuters, Russia's RIA news agency reported on January 7 that a Boeing 737 carrying 173 passengers of Utair airline had to make an emergency landing at Vnukovo airport in Moscow.
The plane was en route from St Petersburg to Samarkand in Uzbekistan.
RIA quoted the airline as saying that all passengers and crew were uninjured.
Utair said the emergency landing was due to a malfunction in the stabilizer, TASS news agency reported.
Utair airline and Vnukovo airport have not yet responded to requests for comment.
Earlier, on January 3, the Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry said a passenger plane of Russia's Ural Airlines had to make an emergency landing at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport after reports of a technical problem with the engine.
The plane was carrying 236 passengers en route from Sharm El-Sheikh airport to the Russian city of Yekaterinburg. The incident occurred just 10 minutes after takeoff.
