This season, Martial has only started twice in the Premier League and scored one goal. The French player's playing style does not fit the football philosophy that coach Rangnick is applying at MU.

On the morning of January 25, journalist Fabrizio Romano said that Anthony Martial is completing the final procedures to join Sevilla on loan until the end of the 2021/22 season. The French player will travel to Spain with his representative Philippe Lamboley today to undergo a medical examination. Sevilla will spend a total of 6 million euros to own the player born in 1995 for 6 months, including salary and loan fee. The contract between the two parties does not include a buyout clause.

According to Goal, Anthony Martial has accepted a pay cut to complete this transfer soon.

Currently, the 27-year-old striker's income at MU is up to 250,000 pounds per week. He expressed his desire to leave to find a chance to play first team and was approved by coach Ralf Rangnick.

Martial has been given the green light to leave, but his destination will not be in England. The French international has been linked with Juventus and Sevilla, but has chosen the Sanchez Pizjuan as his next destination.

Martial joined MU in the summer transfer window of 2015 for 36 million pounds. He played 269 matches, scored 79 goals and won 4 titles, notably the Europa League and League Cup in the 2016/17 season.

After a successful season, Martial had a conflict with coach Jose Mourinho. He was punished by the Portuguese coach and removed from the plan. However, everything changed since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge. Martial regained his form and was given a contract extension until 2024.

Man United are also ready to let four other players leave Old Trafford in the early 2022 transfer window, including goalkeeper Dean Henderson, defender Eric Bailly and midfielders Jesse Lingard and Donny van de Beek.

Also according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle are actively negotiating with the hope of owning Lingard's signature, at least on loan until the end of this season.
