A series of extremely attractive names will be introduced to consumers in the near future, including: Hyundai Santa Fe, BYD Dolphin, Mitsubishi Triton or Lynk & Co 06.
The newly launched Hyundai Accent has impressed consumers with its design, size, additional equipment, upgraded engine and especially its very competitive price. Taking advantage of the wave of the Korean sedan, the Thanh Cong joint venture continues to plan to launch a facelift version for its A-class junior model, the Hyundai Grand i10, expected this June.
The car will continue to appear in two variants, sedan and hatchback, like previous generations. The front and rear design of the car has been slightly updated with the grille as well as the front demi lights and rear brake lights.
As it is only a facelift update, the Hyundai Grand i10 will continue to have a 1.2L naturally aspirated engine, with a capacity of 82 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. Interior equipment includes: mechanical brakes, mechanical air conditioning, leather and fabric seats, entertainment screen with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB and type C charging ports, as well as air vents for the rear seats.
Besides the Accent and Grand i10 duo, the Korean brand is also planning to bring home the new version of the popular crossover Hyundai Santa Fe.
As a completely new updated version, Hyundai's D-size high-chassis model will have its appearance completely changed, switching to a strong, square off-road style while still maintaining a youthful, modern design.
On the new version, Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 will be increased in size, adding a series of convenient equipment, the most prominent of which is the modern interior with 3 front screens, two wireless chargers, and an eye-catching gear lever behind the steering wheel similar to the Ioniq 5 electric car model.
Regarding the powertrain, the new Santa Fe will be sold with a 2.5L gasoline engine with a capacity of 194 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque or an optional 2.5L turbocharged engine with a capacity of up to 281 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque and two-wheel drive.
In addition, the Korean high-chassis model will also be equipped with the SmartSense active driving assistance system as well as the most advanced technological safety features today, promising to become a formidable competitor to the Ford Everest - the best-selling SUV in the segment today.
The Chinese brand had originally scheduled its launch in June 2024, but the biggest distribution partner suddenly "turned around" and stopped cooperating at the last minute, causing the launch date of the trio of Chinese cars to be postponed to July.
In terms of size, BYD Atto 3 is in the same segment as other B-class crossover models such as Toyota Corolla Cross, or VinFast VF6. The car's battery can operate within a range of 410 - 480 km, accompanied by a series of attractive utility equipment.
Meanwhile, BYD Seal will compete with D-class sedans such as Toyota Camry, Honda Accord or Mazda 6. The operating capacity of this electric car is between 510 - 560 km depending on the included battery pack.
BYD Dolphin is considered by many to be the most attractive name among the three pioneers of the Chinese brand. The car has just enough amenities, so it has a price range of only 500 - 600 million VND in Thailand, promising a very attractive listing price. Along with that is the ability to operate within 400 - 500 km depending on battery capacity.
The most notable information for this update of Triton is that Mitsubishi will switch to using a common platform with Navara. The old generation Dynamic Shield design will be upgraded, in a square and modern style. The main full LED headlights have a familiar appearance similar to the younger brother Xpander.
The 2024 Mitsubishi Triton will have a 2.4L diesel engine, producing 204 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque. Similar to the current model, the car is sold with the option of a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive.
In the Vietnamese market, Mitsubishi Triton is currently the second-best-selling name, after the “best-selling king” Ford Ranger. In the middle of last month, Toyota also launched an update for the Hilux, to compete in the pickup truck segment.
Currently, according to research, sales consultants of the Chinese brand have begun accepting deposits for the 06 crossover, promising that the return date is not far away. In terms of size, the car will compete with names such as; Peugeot 2008, VW T-Cross or Honda HR-V.
This is a rare model of the Lynk & Co brand that does not share the same engine and chassis platform as its “cousin” Volvo of the same group. However, many sources promise that the Lynk & Co 06 will have an extremely competitive selling price.
The car still has the same familiar design as its predecessors 01, 05 or 09 with full LED lights in the shape of "frog eyes". Along with that is a series of high-end utilities and a 1.5L turbocharged engine with a capacity of 174 horsepower, 265 Nm of torque, surpassing all competitors in the current B-class crossover segment.
