The 23rd Vietnam Film Festival takes place in November

With the slogan "Building a Vietnamese film industry rich in national identity, modern and humane", the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival honors humane, benevolent cinematographic works rich in Vietnamese cultural identity to develop art and the film market, towards successfully building a film industry.

Films participating must be Vietnamese-language films produced by Vietnamese film establishments or in cooperation with foreign organizations and individuals and have no copyright disputes; must not have participated in the Vietnam Film Festival or the National Television Festival. Films remade from foreign scripts/films can also participate. In case the film is selected for the competition round, it will be considered for individual awards for director, actor, cameraman, artist, sound, and music, but will not be considered for awarding/presenting awards for the film and scriptwriter.

Films participating in the festival must be in Vietnamese, produced by Vietnamese film establishments or in cooperation with foreign organizations and individuals, have no copyright disputes, and have not participated in the Vietnam Film Festival or the National Television Festival.

Feature films with a duration of 70 minutes or more; documentaries with a duration of no more than 100 minutes; scientific films with a duration of no more than 100 minutes; animated films with a duration of no more than 100 minutes.

This is the first time the Vietnam Film Festival has been held in Da Lat City, aiming to promote promotional activities and attract tourists to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Da Lat City's establishment and development. In addition to the Film Festival activities, the organizing committee also organized other contents such as seminars on "Copyright of cinematographic works", "Building criteria for film evaluation in the direction of the film industry".
