Accordingly, in September 2023, the Department of Education and Training of Kim Thanh district advised on the transfer of 5 dedicated teachers with good expertise to Phu Thai Secondary School, a key school of the district, to teach, and at the same time transferred the principal and vice principal from another school to Phu Thai Secondary School. The current principal of Phu Thai Secondary School used to be a teacher and administrator at the school, so he has experience in directly managing and training the school's excellent student team, many of whom won high-level provincial prizes.

Phu Thai Secondary School has also received attention from the district, investing in the construction of a 3-storey building with offices, department rooms and functional rooms; 1 multi-purpose building. The 2 projects are being urgently completed. It is expected that in the near future, Kim Thanh district will continue to invest in the construction of a boarding area for the school.

Along with that, Kim Thanh district has a policy of increasing the budget for training excellent students of the district, supporting travel expenses and lunch for students in the provincial-level 9th ​​grade excellent student competition team. The district organizes timely commendation and rewards, encouraging teachers and students with high achievements in exams and competitions at all levels; directing professional agencies to promptly supplement equipment and facilities for teaching.

In terms of expertise, the Department of Education and Training has strengthened the organization and encouraged students from schools to participate in competitions, contests, and exchanges at all levels. Ms. Huyen said that the board of directors has devoted much effort to strengthening the staff and school discipline to improve the quality of comprehensive education, especially the quality of key education.

“After reaching consensus in the group, we have rebuilt the detailed emulation and reward regulations. Mobilizing all resources so that teachers feel worthy of their efforts. Along with that, the school has developed a plan to train excellent students, drawing on experience from previous years. The school has consulted the Department of Education and Training in two directions: surveying, evaluating, and screening to select the team, selecting teachers with the best expertise to train the team. Coordinating to arrange cars to pick up and drop off students with good thinking and qualities from far away to study at the school,” said Ms. Huyen.

Mr. Vu Duy Dinh, a math teacher at Phu Thai Secondary School, said that Ms. Huyen also regularly works with the professional team, which is also a way to promote collective strength. “In the recent 9th grade excellent student selection exam, the teachers in the excellent student training team devoted themselves to the common goal of increasing their rankings. Teachers actively researched, innovated, and created new teaching and review methods,” said Mr. Dinh.

Tang Xuan Tung, a 9th grader at Phu Thai Secondary School, said that teachers often let students take part in surveys and exchange with students from other districts; practice test-taking skills, and assign students to practice. The encouragement and motivation from the school and teachers inspired the students in the team to practice with the highest determination. "I am very happy because my efforts were rewarded when I was the candidate with the highest math score in the province at the provincial-level excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year," Tung said.

The results of the provincial-level 9th ​​grade excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year are the clearest evidence of the synchronous and timely solutions that have been deployed from the district level to schools in the past time in Kim Thanh district.

In this exam, Kim Thanh district has 85 students taking the exam, the core of which are students from Phu Thai Secondary School. Of the 11 candidates with the highest scores in the subjects and sub-subjects, Kim Thanh district has 4 students, the most in the province. Although it is still in the ranking period, but according to preliminary statistics of the Department of Education and Training of Kim Thanh district from the exam score sheet announced by the Department of Education and Training, Kim Thanh district is expected to rank first in the whole province in this exam, up 8 places compared to the 2023-2024 school year, up 10 places compared to the 2022-2023 school year. This will also be the highest achievement of Kim Thanh district to date.
