When Hai Duong Newspaper shakes hands with celebrities

At the end of May 2022, at the opening ceremony of the lychee picking garden for export in Thanh Lanh village, Thanh Quang commune (Thanh Ha), Hai Duong Newspaper organized a livestream on Fanpage, both recording the joyful and vibrant atmosphere of the ceremony and introducing Thanh Ha lychee to Facebook users.

Most notably, at that livestream, the reporter team coordinated with a number of famous attendees such as comedian Chien Thang, soccer player Pham Duc Huy, and table tennis player Nguyen Duc Tuan, to chat and spread the Thanh Ha fabric brand more widely.

The collaboration between Hai Duong Newspaper and those celebrities, although only "matched" a few minutes before filming, created a positive ripple effect. During the 30 minutes of livestream, Hai Duong Newspaper's Fanpage that day attracted comments and interactions from thousands of people, the clip attracted hundreds of thousands of views, contributing to the overall success of the Thanh Ha litchi festival that year. Perhaps this was the first memorable milestone on Hai Duong Newspaper's journey of "collaborating with celebrities".

Over the past two years, the journey has had many new companions. Together with Hai Duong Newspaper, they promote the image of the province, a friendly locality with an attractive, dynamic and modern investment environment. Notably, since the beginning of 2024, Hai Duong Newspaper has conducted many livestream programs in collaboration with famous people.

In March 2024, Mai Hoa Schannel, a name familiar to young people, collaborated with Hai Duong Newspaper to explore the Tranh Temple Festival (Ninh Giang). The first time collaborating with a news agency to create a script and record a real-life experience was a memorable and interesting memory for Mai Hoa. “Directly promoting the image of the province is both a pressure and a responsibility. Pressure because if we don't coordinate well, the filming process will not go smoothly. Responsibility because Hai Duong is where I was born, so promoting the beauty of my hometown is something I need to do. Fortunately, that event received a very positive response,” Mai Hoa said.

“Livestreaming with Hai Duong Newspaper at Tue Tinh food street in Hai Duong city on the opening night of April 26 was a wonderful and memorable experience. This event marked a special milestone for me on my journey to becoming a professional MC.” This is the sharing of Luong Thi Hoa Dan, 1st runner-up of the Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022 contest.

The runner-up, born in 2001 in Nam Sach district, shared that Hai Duong Newspaper is like her "second home" when she returned to Hai Duong. "Professional and friendly, that is my first impression of Hai Duong Newspaper. During the working process, the reporters always exchanged and shared work frankly and quickly, with the highest goal of making the work go smoothly. Thanks to that, even though it was my first time hosting a live program, the work went very smoothly," runner-up Hoa Dan shared.

With the cooperation of Miss Runner-up Hoa Dan, the livestream "broke" the record for the number of viewers on Hai Duong Newspaper Fanpage with more than 241,000 views as of early June 2024.

Collaborating with Hai Duong Newspaper to promote the image of Hai Duong province is also a way for each guest to renew themselves. “Personally, I do not dare to consider myself a celebrity, but I think that not only for celebrities, spreading beautiful images of the culture and people of the homeland and country is also a common responsibility of any Vietnamese person. For me, a Hai Duong person, it is wonderful to cooperate with Hai Duong Newspaper to promote those beautiful things,” Runner-up Hoa Dan added.

Selecting events, contacting guests, creating detailed scenarios for each task and each period of time, predicting some problems that may occur to proactively and flexibly handle them. That is the requirement of the Editorial Board of Hai Duong Newspaper for reporters when performing the task of coordinating with celebrities. Since then, a series of coordinated programs have been carried out systematically, bringing high propaganda effectiveness.

Most recently, right after the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year ended, poet Tran Dang Khoa accepted an interview with a reporter from Hai Duong Newspaper. Thereby, the poet expressed his thoughts on his brainchild, the work "Grain of Rice from Our Village" in the literature exam. Poet Tran Dang Khoa also appeared frequently in Hai Duong Newspaper, providing a lot of useful information, especially for students.

“It’s like being quenched. I used to think that Hai Duong Newspaper’s products would be dry, but I was wrong. Information about the province is conveyed in different ways, creating an attractive and engaging appeal. That makes young people like me want to read Hai Duong Newspaper more, especially the newspaper’s livestream programs with the participation of famous people, creating a very new effect,” shared Ms. Nguyen Ha, 33 years old in Hai Duong City, currently living in Hanoi.
