Opening of the 2023 National Aerobic Gymnastics Championship

The tournament was organized by the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province. Some competitions of the units took place from October 3.

Participating in the 2023 National Aerobic Gymnastics Championship are over 100 athletes from 8 provinces and cities across the country, including: Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hanoi, Khanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Tra Vinh and Phu Yen.

Athletes compete in 7 categories, including: Women's singles, men's singles, mixed doubles, groups of 3, groups of 5, Aerobic Dance and Aerobic Step in 2 age groups (15 - 17 years old and 18 years old and above).

The competition force at this year's tournament is made up of the best athletes from the localities, including athletes who have just competed with high results at the 2023 Asian Aerobic Championship held in Mongolia.

According to Ms. Phan Thuy Linh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation, this is the first time Phu Yen has been chosen to host the National Aerobic Gymnastics Championship, thereby recognizing the development of Aerobics in the locality in recent times. The tournament carries the message and meaning of solidarity, exchange and learning experiences between units with developed Aerobic training movements. This is an opportunity for experts and coaches to evaluate the performance of athletes, select young talents for the Vietnam Aerobics team to compete in regional and international tournaments in the coming time.

The 2023 National Aerobic Gymnastics Championship is expected to end and award prizes on October 8.
