Dinh’s family’s house was built in 1983 and has been renovated many times, but is now seriously degraded. Gia Loc District Youth Union mobilized 56 million VND to rebuild the roof and re-plaster the walls.

According to Gia Loc District Youth Union, Dinh is in a very difficult situation. Previously, his maternal grandfather fought in the Southern battlefield and was affected by toxic chemicals. However, because he lost his papers, he was not entitled to this policy. When his grandparents gave birth to his mother, her mother was also affected and Dinh herself also showed signs of Agent Orange. His parents have long passed away, his maternal grandparents are now over 80 years old and often sick. Apart from the money the District Youth Union supported, his family has no source of funds to repair the house.

The movement "Shelter for Young Pioneers" has been implemented by Gia Loc District Youth Union since 2020. Up to now, 9 students with difficult circumstances in the district have received financial support to repair and build new houses. Gia Loc District Youth Union is the leading unit in the province in the movement to build "Shelter for Young Pioneers".
