Trainees in Hai Duong participating in the training course learned and updated their knowledge about equitable energy transition.
On the morning of April 11, at Hai Duong Provincial Political School, the Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to open a class to update knowledge on equitable energy transition.
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Chien, Director of the Institute of Leadership and Public Administration (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics) and comrade Nguyen Quang Phuc, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department attended the opening ceremony.
Also attending were lecturers and experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
More than 100 trainees attending the training course are leaders, managers, staff working in consulting and implementing policies in related fields in the province.
In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Chien affirmed that equitable energy transition is an important trend in the global context of sustainable development and a low-carbon economy. Equitable energy transition is a new term mentioned in Vietnam, but the process of shifting from using fossil energy to clean energy has long been of interest to our Party and State.
Associate Professor Le Van Chien asked the students to uphold their sense of responsibility, frankly discuss and openly share good lessons as well as difficulties and shortcomings in practical activities so that other localities can learn and gain experience.
In terms of content, students will learn about some theoretical and practical issues on energy transition, green transition and just transition; Vietnam's policies and laws on energy transition and green transition.
In the afternoon of the same day, the students attended a discussion on the topic of equitable energy transition in Hai Duong. At the discussion, lecturers, experts and students discussed the current situation and solutions for green and modern transformation of industrial zones in Hai Duong province; the current situation of policies supporting equitable energy transition in Vietnam; policies to support small and medium enterprises in the energy transition process; research and application of effective organic and circular agricultural models in Hai Duong.
