Hai Duong Construction Association celebrates 30th anniversary

On the morning of December 29, Hai Duong Provincial Construction Association held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary and the 7th Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term.

Dr. Dang Viet Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Association attended and congratulated the association. There were 138 official delegates attending the congress.

Hai Duong Construction Association, formerly Hai Hung Science and Technology Association, was established under Decision No. 315/QD-UB dated April 14, 1994 of Hai Hung Provincial People's Committee.

In 1997, Hai Duong province was re-established. The Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to establish the Hai Duong Construction Science and Technology Association. In 2003, the association was renamed the Hai Duong Construction Association.

After 30 years of operation with 6 congresses, Hai Duong Construction Association has had many effective activities, is an active member of Vietnam Construction Association and the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations.

From 6 collective members and 100 individual members when it was first established, the association now has 48 collective members and more than 4,000 individual members. The association's members are in most construction fields such as state management, investment management, construction consulting, real estate business, production, trading of construction materials, equipment, construction, etc.

Many member enterprises have large scale of operation, multi-industry business and large annual revenue such as Hoang Ha Group, Thanh Cong Group, Hai Duong Clean Water Business Joint Stock Company, Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd., Newland Investment Joint Stock Company...

The Association has 2 Clubs of Experts and Young Architects - Engineers, Water Supply and Drainage, Construction Consulting, Veterans, Construction Materials Associations and 1 Hai Duong Construction Consulting and Services Company Limited.

During the past term, the Construction Association and the clubs have coordinated to participate in many consulting, commenting and giving opinions on programs, projects, proposals, plans and draft legal regulations such as projects and proposals to upgrade urban areas, the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050, the Urban Development Program of Hai Duong province to 2030, the Land Use Plan of Hai Duong province to 2030...

The Association has proactively proposed and coordinated with the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations to organize many seminars, disseminate specialized legal and professional knowledge to officials and members such as smart urban topics, digital transformation, introducing Hai Duong province planning, etc. Thereby providing a lot of specialized information, specialized management knowledge, legal knowledge for officials and members. Many collective members have research topics, initiatives, innovations, and applications of new technologies with high efficiency.

In the 2024-2029 term, Hai Duong Construction Association will strengthen propaganda and mobilize more members; promote the establishment of a number of professional branches such as urban management and real estate business. Innovate the work of consulting, criticism and social appraisal; encourage experienced experts, young scientists, technicians and managers, and successful entrepreneurs to participate in consulting and criticizing programs, projects, and legal documents. Mobilize collective members, officials, experts, and branches to register scientific research topics, initiatives, technical improvements, improve management capacity, and apply new construction technologies, etc.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of Hai Duong Construction Association, term VII, consisting of 41 members.

On this occasion, Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 3 individuals; Vietnam Construction Association awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 3 individuals; Hai Duong Union of Science and Technology Associations awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 4 individuals.
