Hanoi students win 5 gold medals at International Math Olympiad

All 7 Hanoi students participating in the Pangea Math World (PMW) 2023 won prizes, including 5 gold medals and 2 silver medals.

Specifically, the 5 gold medals went to the following students: Tran The Phuc (class 7A1, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School); Nguyen Thai Duong (class 7A6, Giang Vo Secondary School); Nguyen Tuan Minh (class 7A1, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School); Luong Minh Nam (class 7A6, Giang Vo Secondary School) and Le Thanh Hai (class 7A6, Giang Vo Secondary School).

The two silver medals went to Nguyen Duc Thuan (class 7A2, Giang Vo Secondary School) and Phan Nguyen Mai Trang (class 8A5, Thang Long Secondary School).

The Pangea Math World (PMW) is organized by the non-profit association Pangea Wettbewerb eV (Frankfurt/M) in Germany with the aim of supporting students' interest in Mathematics, creating conditions for developing thinking towards solving complex tasks in the future.

The PMW International Mathematical Olympiad has been held in Germany since 2007, initially for students from European countries, and has attracted more than 3 million candidates from 22 countries. From 2022, the exam will be expanded to all countries in the world in the form of online exams.

In 2023, the International Mathematical Olympiad will be held in Berlin (Germany) from May 5 to May 8.
