Hai Duong requests report on teaching life skills and English in schools

The Department of Education and Training has requested high schools, Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center, Provincial Continuing Education - Foreign Language - Information Technology Center, and Departments of Education and Training to review, inspect, and report on the implementation of forms of cooperation in schools.

Accordingly, the units report on the coordination of organizing life skills teaching, English teaching and other coordination and association activities (if any) in the school. The units report to the Department of Education and Training before October 4.

This activity is to implement Official Dispatch No. 3538/UBND-VP dated September 22, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on inspecting the linkage of extra teaching in schools in the province.

According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, as of June 30, Hai Duong had 90 foreign language centers and 20 life skills education organizations licensed to operate in the province. Many schools in the province have been collaborating with these units to teach English, life skills and experiential activities.

These are all voluntary, agreed upon educational activities, not forced. Some schools coordinate teaching many English programs such as teaching ASEAN English, English with foreigners and teaching life skills. If parents register their students to study all three of these activities, they will have to pay a large sum of money.
