Hai Duong handles 305 cases of alcohol concentration violations during 5-day holiday

During the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1, Hai Duong traffic police discovered and handled 305 cases of alcohol concentration violations, an increase of 122 cases compared to the same holiday last year.

During the 5-day holiday, the traffic police force in the whole province detected and handled 1,004 cases of traffic safety violations, fined more than 3.1 billion VND. Compared to the April 30-May 1 holiday in 2023 (from April 29, 2023 to May 3, 2023), there were 324 more violations, an increase of 1.2 billion VND.

Of these, there were 305 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 257 cases of speeding violations, 39 cases of not obeying traffic signals, 255 cases of not wearing helmets, 167 cases of not having a driver's license...

According to the report of the Office of the Traffic Safety Committee of Hai Duong province, during the 5-day holiday, the functional forces of the whole province received and handled 13 road traffic accidents, causing 4 deaths and 12 injuries. Compared to this holiday in 2023, there were 13 more cases, 10 more injuries, the number of deaths due to traffic accidents did not increase or decrease.

According to the Provincial General Hospital, during the same period, the unit examined, provided emergency care, and treated about 1,050 patients, including over 80 cases of traffic accidents.
