Hai Duong displays 250 art photos by Vietnamese photographers

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

On the morning of April 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened the exhibition "Vietnamese Art Photography; Hai Duong Propaganda Paintings in 2023" and launched the Art Photography Contest "Beauty of Hai Duong Culture and Tourism" at the Provincial Exhibition House (No. 109 Pham Ngu Lao Street, Hai Duong City). The Vietnam Art Photography Contest is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2022.

Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province presented flowers to congratulate the Organizing Committee.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province; Nguyen Quang Phuc, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Minh Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of a number of departments and branches.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, awarded the first prize of the 2023 Propaganda Painting Competition to artist Ha Huy Chuong.

The exhibition displays 250 works of art photography by Vietnamese photographers, selected from 16,395 entries. The collection includes realistic and conceptual photography, with diverse content and themes, and high ideological and artistic value. The works truly and vividly reflect the beauty of people, culture, and landscapes of Vietnam; express contemporary life issues and events, thoughts, opinions, and ideas of artists... aiming at the values ​​of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Delegates visiting the exhibition

The 2023 Propaganda Painting Competition was launched by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Literature and Arts Association in February 2023. By April 15, the Organizing Committee had received nearly 200 works from authors inside and outside the province. The Organizing Committee selected 78 works, awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes; the Literature and Arts Association awarded 1 prize to the author with creative artistic ideas. The first prize was awarded to artist Ha Huy Chuong (Hai Duong) with the work "Young generation continues the tradition of patriotic emulation".

At the exhibition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the Artistic Photography Contest “The Beauty of Hai Duong Culture and Tourism”. The contest aims to promote the image of the traditional culture and people of the Eastern region. Through the works, the tourism potential of Hai Duong is introduced and promoted to domestic and foreign tourists. The contest takes place from April to August 2023.

The exhibition "Vietnamese art photos; Hai Duong propaganda paintings in 2023" lasts until the end of May 2023.
