In the first quarter of this year, Hai Duong organized 28 voluntary blood donations, collecting 6,160 units of blood, reaching nearly 24% of the yearly plan.
On the morning of March 28, the Thanh Mien District Red Cross Association coordinated to organize the 2024 Voluntary Blood Donation Festival at Thanh Mien 2 High School and the District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center.
At the festival, about 250 officials, teachers and students from the above educational institutions donated 149 units of blood. This was the second blood donation organized by the district since the beginning of the year. The first one collected 486 units of blood.
Thanh Mien District Red Cross Society is the organizer of the last voluntary blood donation festival of the first quarter of this year.
According to the Provincial Red Cross, in the first quarter, the province organized 28 voluntary blood donations, collecting 6,160 units of blood, reaching nearly 24% of the yearly plan. Of which, the voluntary blood donation campaign during Tet and the 2024 Spring Festival from January 15 to March 15 alone collected 4,035 units of blood.
This year, Hai Duong strives to mobilize and collect at least 25,900 units of blood.
