Hai Duong studies treatment of saline water situation in Tu Ky and Thanh Ha

Research on the treatment of saline water in Tu Ky and Thanh Ha, and solutions to provide clean water when water is saline... are among the contents at the meeting of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee on the morning of May 21.

At the working session, the Provincial People's Committee listened to a report on the situation of clean water supply for people's lives and production in the province; difficulties, obstacles and proposals and recommendations.

Concluding this content, Mr. Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Departments of Planning and Investment, Construction, Science and Technology, Agriculture and Rural Development to study solutions to handle saline water in Tu Ky and Thanh Ha, such as the need to build freshwater reservoirs to supply when river water is saline...

Also on water quality, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to direct and coordinate with relevant agencies to assess the water quality of each project, thereby proposing recommendations (if any). The Department of Science and Technology shall preside over and coordinate with agencies to assess the water filtration technology of water treatment plants, point out existing problems and difficulties and propose solutions to advise and report to the Provincial People's Committee.

The Department of Construction needs to unify state management of clean water, advise the People's Committee to deploy clean water infrastructure throughout the province to meet people's living needs and production development requirements in industrial parks and clusters.

The Department of Planning and Investment shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board and localities to advise the People's Committee on investment orientation policies for the clean water supply infrastructure system in the province, with clear planning...

The sectors proactively advise on building an overall "picture" of the clean water supply network in the province by 2030; building a framework for clean water prices in the area.

The province currently has 98 clean water projects serving daily life and production. The rate of people using clean water is 98%. About 56% of the water supply units are under the Hai Duong Clean Water Business Joint Stock Company. The rest are clean water projects managed by the Clean Water and Rural Sanitation Joint Stock Company, some non-state enterprises and cooperatives.
