On the afternoon of August 16, Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) Hoang Van Huynh said that the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology had decided to allocate 4,100 doses of the "5 in 1" vaccine to Hai Duong.
During the time when the "5 in 1" vaccine is in short supply, many parents take their children to get vaccinated at service vaccination clinics.
Hai Duong CDC will reasonably allocate the above vaccines in accordance with the actual situation and needs of localities in the province. It is recommended that vaccination facilities prioritize this vaccine for children with the youngest month of age first, then for older children who have not received the first dose. The "5 in 1" vaccine against diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, hepatitis B, pneumonia/meningitis caused by Hib bacteria (DPT-VGB-Hib) for children from 2 to under 18 months of age.
Since March, public health facilities in Hai Duong have been lacking some types of expanded immunization vaccines, including the “5 in 1” vaccine. Currently, only the diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus (DPT) vaccine has been lacking since April and is still not available. Most parents take their children to vaccination clinics because there is always a ready supply.
As of August 15, Hai Duong had 51% of children under 1 year old fully vaccinated.
