Hai Duong Provincial People's Council has issued a resolution on the investment policy decision for the Project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 393, section from km10+180 - km20+50 (section from Ba Da culvert to Tu O bridge, Thanh Mien district).
According to the resolution, the project's starting point is at km10+180 of provincial road 393 connecting with provincial road 392 (Ba Da sluice); the end point is at km20+50 of provincial road 393 (Tu O bridge), in the territory of Doan Tung, Hong Quang, and Tan Trao communes (Thanh Mien).
Total route length is about 9.6 km.
The section from Cong Ba Da to the North-South axis intersection has a class III road scale, design speed of 80km/h; roadbed width of 13m (road surface width of 11m); each side of the road is 1m wide (section through residential areas, sidewalks are built 1m wide).
The section from the North-South axis intersection to Tu O bridge is a class IV road, with a design speed of 60km/h. The roadbed width is 9.5m, of which the road surface is 8m wide; the dirt shoulder on each side is 0.5-1m wide (the section through residential areas has a 1m wide sidewalk).
The project is invested by the Hai Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board. The total investment of the project is 176 billion VND; implementation period is 2024-2025.
The upgrading of Road 393 meets the transportation and connection needs and creates a breakthrough in the socio-economic development of Thanh Mien district. Gradually complete the traffic infrastructure according to the planning and traffic development orientation of the province and the region, forming an inter-regional traffic axis connecting Provincial Road 392, North-South Axis Road, District Road 195 through Tu O Bridge to Hung Yen province.
