Hanoi FC may rest some key players in the final match of the 2023/24 AFC Champions League.
"Hanoi FC has just gone through a busy schedule. We aim to have a beautiful match for the fans, thereby saying goodbye to the AFC Champions League with beautiful images of Vietnamese football," coach Le Duc Tuan said at the press conference.
Tomorrow night (December 6), Hanoi FC will face Urawa Red Diamonds at My Dinh Stadium. This is the last match of the Vietnamese representative in the highest level arena for Asian clubs. Hanoi FC has no chance to continue after only gaining one point after 5 matches.

"This season, Hanoi FC's squad must be distributed across three fronts, plus injuries and penalties. The coaching staff must carefully consider the personnel situation in the matches. In the upcoming match against Urawa Red Diamonds, some key players may be rested. However, we will have to carefully calculate the opportunities for young players and balance the squad on the field," said coach Le Duc Tuan.
In the first leg, Hanoi FC lost 0-6 away to the Japanese team. That was a match where the current V.League runner-up had to play with one less man early on after Joel Tagueu received a red card. The foreign player is eager to make amends in the rematch against Urawa Red Diamonds.
"It's unfortunate to be suspended for two matches. I really hope to be able to help Hanoi FC finish the AFC Champions League group stage with a win," said the Hanoi FC striker.
"Hanoi FC has prepared very well and hopes to continue to get 3 points at My Dinh Stadium, something we did in the match against Wuhan Club in the last time we played at home in the AFC Champions League."
