According to a quick report from Hanoi City, storm No. 3 (storm Yagi) killed 3 people, injured 8 people, damaged 6 motorbikes and 13 cars, and felled 2,455 trees.

The above data was reported at the 4th meeting of the day of the Forward Command Center for Storm Prevention and Control No. 3 chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on the night of September 7.

According to a quick report from Hanoi City, storm number 3 killed 3 people and injured 8 others.

Regarding assets, according to the Hanoi Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, as of 7 p.m. on September 7, a total of 6 motorbikes and 13 cars were damaged by the storm in the city. Heavy rains flooded 47 hectares of rice fields and 26.5 hectares of vegetables; 6,144.5 hectares of rice fields and 15.93 hectares of vegetables; and 2.2 hectares of fruit trees.

According to incomplete statistics, the whole city had 2,455 fallen trees and 273 broken branches.

In addition, 5 households had their corrugated iron roofs blown off, 60m of surrounding wall collapsed (Son Tay town); 3 houses had their roofs blown off (Ba Dinh district); 20m of residential wall collapsed (Bac Tu Liem district); the roof of a level 4 house collapsed (Hai Ba Trung district); 35m of surrounding wall collapsed, 1 residential kitchen collapsed, 1 residential house had its corrugated iron roof blown off (Ba Vi district); 20m of residential wall collapsed (Chuong My district); about 240m of surrounding wall collapsed, 3 corrugated iron houses collapsed (Phuc Tho, Ba Vi, Hoai Duc districts); 170 poultry were damaged (Ba Vi district).

Hanoi City said that on the morning of September 8, forces will proceed to handle fallen trees to ensure smooth traffic.

Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces have reported to the Frontline Command Center about the flood situation caused by storm No. 3, storm prevention measures deployed, some damage to trees, houses, agricultural crops, etc.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that storm No. 3 has weakened rapidly, and localities must urgently deploy work to overcome the consequences.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh and Thai Binh to urgently grasp the situation and closely coordinate with rescue forces to rescue ships that drifted or sank in the storm, and people who are missing.

At the same time, localities must mobilize local forces to urgently clean up, count the damage, and support people to stabilize their lives and daily activities.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to direct electricity enterprises to assess damage, promptly restore the power grid, and coordinate power supply to important enterprises, industrial zones, and production clusters.

The Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Information and Communications directed telecommunications businesses to soon restore communication systems.

The Deputy Prime Minister reminded localities to continue to closely follow flood forecast information, flash flood risk maps, landslides, and not to be negligent, subjective, or lose vigilance. The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment direct the operation of reservoirs, not to let floods pile up on floods.
