Sweet and delicious guava due to the dry weather is being sold by Thanh Ha farmers at a higher price than last month.
According to guava farmers in Thanh Ha district, on September 10, the price of guava was 12,000 VND/kg, an increase of 8,000 VND/kg compared to last month. The reason is that the off-season guava harvest has just begun, so the yield is not much, and the dry weather makes the guava sweeter and tastier than last month. This is the time when consumers really like to buy guava. In October, off-season guava in Thanh Ha will be harvested more abundantly.
Thanh Ha district currently has about 1,800 hectares of guava, mainly in Lien Mac, Thanh Xuan, and An Phuong communes. The locality currently has 66 concentrated guava production areas with a total area of 853 hectares. Each year, farmers in Thanh Ha district earn nearly 500 billion VND from guava trees. The entire district has 400 hectares of guava certified with VietGAP. In 2020, Thanh Ha guava achieved 4-star OCOP standards.
