Currently, the whole province has 10,491 vehicles that have changed from white to yellow license plates (reaching more than 96%).
According to the Road Motor Vehicle Registration and Management Team under the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police), from August 1, 2020 to January 12, the whole province had 10,491 vehicles that had changed from white license plates to yellow license plates (reaching more than 96%).
Currently, there are nearly 170 transport vehicles that are required to change their license plates but have not done so because these vehicles are not operating in the province. Some transport businesses are affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, vehicles have to wait at the parking lot so the vehicle owners have not changed their old license plates.
According to regulations, after December 31, 2021, vehicles operating in the transport business that do not change their white license plates to yellow license plates will be fined from 2-4 million VND for individuals, and from 4-8 million VND for organizations and businesses.
