In an interview with the Pro Kosmos news portal on February 19, Director General of the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos), Yuri Borisov, emphasized that Russia is discussing with colleagues at the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) about continuing cooperation in the field of manned space travel even though there are disagreements between the two sides. This is to ensure the safety of space activities continues to be maintained. He added that such cooperation would involve unifying the docking modules so that the two sides can support each other if necessary.

The head of Roscosmos also announced that this year the agency plans to carry out more than 40 launches of spacecraft or satellites into space.

Last year, Russia launched 19 spacecraft and satellites into space. The country's launches in 2022, 2021 and 2020 are 22, 25 and 17 respectively. The last time Russia carried out so many launches was in 1994, when it launched 49.
