The remaining railway routes voted by Lonely Planet include the US, Peru, China, the UK, Norway, New Zealand, Tanzania and Zambia.
Topping Lonely Planet's list is Vietnam's North-South railway (also known as the Reunification Railway) with a length of about 1,730km.
Vietnam's Thong Nhat railway line is about 1,730km long.
Lonely Planet also rated the two-day journey on the Reunification Railway, which is about 1,730km long, as one of the most popular rail journeys in Southeast Asia and the best night train in the world.
