The repair of National Highway 5 through Kim Thanh (Hai Duong) is expected to be completed on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

On the afternoon of August 19, a representative of Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company 703, the construction unit repairing the surface of National Highway 5, section km 65-km76 through Kim Thanh district, said that the unit had basically completed the repair of the surface of National Highway 5 in the direction of Hanoi - Hai Phong, with only about the last 500 m remaining in the direction of Hai Phong - Hanoi, section through Phu Thai town (Kim Thanh).

The unit organized a construction team, mobilized more than 10 locomotives, equipment and nearly 30 engineers and workers to construct the final section of the package.

It is expected that by August 25, the construction unit will complete the asphalt concrete pavement, then clean and restore the surface. The time to complete the repair of National Highway 5 according to the construction contract has been extended to September 15. However, the construction unit strives to complete the entire construction package of the National Highway 5 surface repair section from km 65 to km 76 by August 31 to serve people traveling during the National Day holiday on September 2.
